The Lüssumer road is a central thoroughfare in North Bremen , district Blumenthal ; it separates the districts of Blumenthal and Lüssum and leads from Landrat-Christians-Strasse to Schwaneweder Strasse to Lüssum-Bockhorn and Schwanewede .

Surname
Lüssumer Straße was named after the municipality of Lüssum , which was independent until 1907 . The place was called Lusen in 1492 , then Lüszen and Lussen in 1542 . The interpretation of the name from the documented name villa Liusci is not guaranteed.

The Spar- und Bauverein Blumenthal , founded in 1894, erected the cooperative's first building on Lüssumer Straße.
From 1917 to 1927 there was the Lüssumer Lichtspiele, Lüssumer Straße 97. In
1960 the New Apostolic Church was built.

The Bremen-Blumenthal motorway junction of the 270 federal motorway has been opening up the district for long-distance traffic here since 2009.
In 2007, the NordWestBahn offered an advance service on the passenger traffic of the reactivated Bremen-Farge – Bremen-Vegesack (Farge Bremen) line from 1888.
The regional S-Bahn Bremen / Lower Saxony with the RS1 line has been crossing the street since 2011.
