religion

In terms of church law, Lüttenglehn has always belonged to the Catholic parish of Neuss-Grefrath. The St. Rochus Chapel in Lüttenglehn has existed since 1771. After all but four cattle had died from an epidemic, the residents of Lüttenglehn took a vow: They wanted to build a chapel if the epidemic did not return in their village. In the following centuries the chapel has been changed and renovated several times. In 1846 it received a bell tower. In 1956, however, this tower was dilapidated and could no longer be used. In 1969 the tower was renovated and since then the bell has only served as a death knell.

The agricultural land was converted into a golf course around 1990. The Galeria Kaufhof Cup has already been played here several times. The regionally known garden center was closed at the turn of the year 2008/2009, but reopened on March 5, 2010 after 14 months of vacancy.
