The L'Austral is a luxury cruise ship operated by the French cruise company Compagnie du Ponant , Marseille .

history

The ship entered service on April 20, 2011 as the sister ship of Le Boréal and represents the latest technology in the field of cruise ships. On its maiden voyage , it sailed from Marseille , France , to Lisbon , Portugal .

Furnishing

On board there are 132 cabins and suites for 264 passengers and accommodations for 140 crew members. Most of the cabins have their own balcony. Additional features include individually adjustable air conditioning, a private bathroom, satellite TV, DVD / CD player, iPod station, WLAN, safe and minibar. Six of the ship's decks are accessible to passengers. Both English and French are spoken on board, and German is to be included in the future.

Data

The ship has ice class 1C and is therefore approved for sailing in ice-covered waters with an ice thickness of up to 40 centimeters.
