LDN (short for: London ) is a song by the British pop singer Lily Allen . The song was released on September 25, 2006 as the second single from Allen's debut album Alright, Still . The song was initially only released as a record together with its B-side Knock 'Em Out , but was then released a second time as a CD single.

The song is about Allen's hometown London . She sings about how everything looks nice at first glance, but if you look closer, it's just lies.

LDN was used as the soundtrack for the film Nanny Diaries and in the trailer for Happy-Go-Lucky . It was also ranked 30th among the best songs of 2007, voted by Rolling Stone magazine .

Music video

Two music videos were shot for LDN :

  • The first music video shows Allen riding a bike through London. You can see more of the positive things about London here.
  • The second music video adapts more to the lyrics of the song. Everyone can be seen walking through London. Everything looks positive in front of her, but as soon as she passes, reality is shown by means of a visual effect.
