The LG G3 (code name internat. Model: D855 ) is a smartphone of the G series from LG and the successor to the LG G2 . The LG G3 was presented to the public on May 27, 2014. It was the first smartphone in Europe that had a display resolution of 1440p beyond Full HD.
Furnishing
The LG G3 measures 146.7 × 74.6 × 8.9 mm and weighs 151 grams. The 5.5-inch QHD display (screen diagonal 13.97 cm) has a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels with a pixel density of around 534 ppi . The battery has a capacity of 3,000 mAh and can be replaced. The System-on-a-Chip is a Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5 GHz with four cores from Qualcomm , consisting of a Krait 400 processor and an Adreno 330 graphics unit, which, depending on the version, has 16 GB of flash Storage and 2 GB RAM or 32 GB flash memory and 3 GB RAM are available. The memory can also be expanded by up to 2 TB with a microSDXC card. It also has NFC aka Android Beam , a 13- megapixel - rear camera with optical 2-axis image stabilization, laser autofocus, dual photo light with different color temperatures and a 2.1 megapixel front camera. The LG G3 also has an infrared sensor . The plastic housing of the G3 is available in Germany in four colors: titanium, black, white and gold. When it was launched, LG used Android 4.4.2 as the operating system . An update to Android 6.0.1 has now been distributed. Further technical features: Selfie photo triggering by gesture control, Bluetooth headphones (available as accessories) and wireless battery charging. The separately available Quick Circle Case serves as a protective cover and offers a quick view of the time through a "window".
Availability
The LG G3 was launched on the German market in early July 2014. The RRP for the version with 16 GB of flash memory and 2 GB of RAM was 549 euros, for the version with 32 GB of flash memory and 3 GB of RAM at 599 euros.

LG G3 s (G3 Beat)
The LG G 3 s (sometimes also known as the G3 Beat) was released in August 2014. It is a scaled-down and technically stripped down version of the G3. The screen measures 5 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with 1.2 GHz (quad core) is installed as the processor, which is supported by 1 gigabyte of RAM. The internal memory is 8 gigabytes and can be expanded using a micro SD card. The camera has an 8 megapixel sensor and, like the G3, is equipped with laser autofocus. The front camera has a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. The battery has a capacity of 2540 mAh. The LG G3 s measures 137.7 × 69.6 × 10.3 mm (H × W × D), weighs 134 grams and is available in black, white and gold.
LG G3 Prime
The LG G3 Prime is largely identical to the LG G3. However, it has a Snapdragon 805 processor, which should ensure even smoother operation. It is also possible with this chip to achieve download speeds of 300 Mb / s with LTE usage.
LG G3 A
The LG G3 A is a slimmed-down version of the LG G3 that was introduced for the Asian market. The display has a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 pixels. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The LG G3 A has 2 GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU. The internal memory, which can be expanded using a microSD card, is 8 GB. It has a 2,610 mAh battery and a 13-megapixel camera on the back, which has optical image stabilization and, like the G3, laser autofocus. A 2.1 megapixel camera is installed on the front. In terms of connectivity, the G3 A has the same modules as the standard G3 model. The dimensions of the device are 141 × 71.6 × 9.8 mm and the weight 147 grams. In Korea it should cost the equivalent of 500 euros.
