The LG G4 (code name internat. Model: H815 ) is a smartphone of the G series from LG and the successor to the LG G3 . The LG G4 was presented to the public on April 28, 2015.

Furnishing

The LG G4 measures 148.9 mm × 76.1 mm × 9.8 mm and weighs 155 grams. The 5.5-inch QHD display (screen diagonal 13.97 cm) has a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels with a pixel density of around 538 ppi . The battery has a capacity of 3,000 mAh and can be replaced. The System-on-a-Chip is a Snapdragon 808 clocked at 1.8 GHz with six cores from Qualcomm , consisting of a dual-core ARM Cortex A57 and quad-core A53 processor with 64-bit support and an Adreno 418 graphics unit, 32 GB of flash memory and 3 GB of RAM . The memory can also be expanded by up to 2 TB with a microSDXC card. It also has NFC aka Android Beam , a 16 megapixel - Rear camera with a f1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, color spectrum sensor, photo light and an 8-megapixel front camera. The LG G4 also has an infrared sensor . The G4 is available with three leather backs (real leather black, brown and red) at the market launch, with which LG has once again achieved a unique selling point compared to the competition. In addition, a slightly cheaper version with a plastic housing is available for sale. The plastic housing of the G4 is available in Germany in three colors: metallic silver, metallic gold and metallic white. When it was launched, LG used Android 5.1 as the operating system . In the meantime an update of Android 6.0.1 has been distributed which closes the Stagefright security gap. Further technical features: Selfie photo triggering by gesture control, Bluetooth headphones (available as accessories) and wireless battery charging. The separately available Quick Circle Case serves as a protective cover and offers a quick view of the time through a "window".

Availability

The LG G4 was launched on the German market in early May 2015. The RRP for the device was 699 euros for the leather version and 649 euros for the version with a plastic back.
