La Sola (Spanish Isla La Sola , word meaning the lonely island ) is a small, uninhabited rocky island in the Caribbean Sea , about 370 km northeast of Caracas , the capital of Venezuela , and 35 km northeast of Isla Margarita and 19.4 km northeast of closest to Los Frailes . The Los Testigos archipelago is around 55 km to the northwest. Geographically, the island belongs to the islands under the wind , politically to the Venezuelan Dependencias Federales (federal territories).
La Sola has a land area of barely 500 square meters and reaches a maximum height of 8.5 m above sea level.
