Childhood and youth

1999-2006

Her musical career began in 1999. She developed a concept for a character called "La Tigresa". With the help of Mario Poggi, she began to write songs. Then she founded the group "Las Tigresas" with Elizabeth Alegría and Aracely. Due to various difficulties, the group had to break up.

In 2002 she decided to work as a soloist until she rose to fame in 2006 with her video clip Nuevo Amanecer ( New Dawn ). Other singles such as Anaconda and Trabaja flojo trabaja ( Work lazy, work ) followed, which also had great success on YouTube. In particular, the rather cheap-looking video clips and the somewhat trashy performance of the dancers made the appeal of the videos and went viral , especially in Latin America .

Her songs were revised and the debut album Duelo de Gigantes was released. BBC Mundo published an interview about her on December 28, 2009.
