La nave de los monstruos ( Spanish, The Ship of the Monsters ) is a Mexican science fiction film comedy with elements of horror film and was produced in 1959 in the state Estudios Churubusco-Azteca in Churubusco . It was performed as The Ship of Monsters in the United States and in Italy under the title La nave dei mostri .

Women have taken power on Venus . Due to the extinction of the men, however, the continued existence of the Venusian race is endangered.
The leader of the Venusians therefore sends Beta and Gamma in a spaceship on a galactic mission to find suitable men for Venus. They have the robot gate to support them. They land on different planets, but only find non- humanoid male beings there, who also look like monsters according to Venusian ideals of beauty. The four monsters Uk, Utirr, Tegual and Zok are kidnapped by the Venusians; Tegual is a prince of Mars .
Finally your spaceship lands in Mexico. There Beta and Gamma encounter the funny, but also very lying Vaquero Lauriano. Gamma and Lauriano fall in love, Beta becomes a vampire and the galactic monsters try to break free.
In the end, the love of the two wins; Gamma stays on earth. Tor has fallen in love with a jukebox and escapes with it in the spaceship into space .

- The film is a parody of the British feature film Devil Girl from Mars . For his feature film Conquistador de la luna , produced in 1960 , director González even used material from British production.
