The Lac au Goéland ( French for "Seagulls") is a 251 km² lake in the regional county municipality of Jamésie (administrative region North-du-Québec ) in the Canadian province of Québec .
The lake is 40 km east of the city of Matagami . The lake is about 36 km long and up to 18 km wide. The Rivière Waswanipi flows through it from southeast to northwest. Upstream is Lac Waswanipi , while downstream is Lac Olga and Lac Matagami . The water of Lac Maicasagi to the southeast flows over the Passage Max to Lac au Goéland. The Lac au Goéland part of a large lake landscape that is drained from the Rivière Nottaway to James Bay .
