The laccaic A is an anthraquinone derivative and main component of red dye Lac Dye consisting of the lac insects is obtained. The mixture of Laccainsäuren A-E is also known as CI called Natural Red 25 (Natural Red 25).
Occurrence and use
Laccainic acid A is an anthraquinone dye that, like carminic acid or kermic acid, is obtained from scale insects .
