Lacey Conner (born June 10, 1976 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American singer and songwriter in the metal genre. In addition, she was seen on several reality shows on VH1 . Through her participation in Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and Charm School , both of which were broadcast on MTV Germany , she gained some notoriety outside the USA.

Career

music

In 1999 she founded the band Nocturne with Chris Telkes , with whom she has released five albums so far. The band toured together with bands such as Pigface, Genitorturers and King Diamond and, apart from a few individual shows, has paused since 2008. Since 2006, she has been working on her solo career. Her father Otis Conner produced the music video for her single This Thing Called Love . Since 2010 she has played in the Belgian acid house band Lords of Acid .

Acting

Lacey Conner became internationally known for her appearance on Rock of Love with Bret Michaels . Further appearances at Charm School and I Love Money followed . In January 2009 she was elected Dean Guitars spokeswoman for the National Association of Music Merchandisers (NAMM) web host. In 2013 she starred in Escape the Fate's music video You're Insane .

activism

Lacey Conner is a philanthropist . She is a member of several organizations that try to protect human rights. She is also active in associations that protest against genocide. She is also a well-known animal welfare supporter and environmental activist in the Los Angeles area . In spring 2007, she founded New Dawn Pet Rescue , which tries to find new families for abandoned dogs and cats in Los Angeles.
