Ladina Heimgartner (* 1980 in Scuol ) is a Swiss journalist . Until the end of 2019 she is the director of Radiotelevisiun Svizra Rumantscha (RTR) and deputy general director of the Swiss Radio and Television Company (SRG). In 2020 she will move to the media company Ringier . As a member of the Ringier AG management team, she will head the company's corporate services.

Life

Growing up in the Lower Engadine , Heimgartner graduated from the High Alpine Institute in Ftan . She then studied German and Romance languages at the University of Freiburg . During her studies she worked as a freelancer for the Freiburger Nachrichten , after graduating with a licentiate for the Bündner Tagblatt .

In 2007 she took up the post of “reflexiun” ( Romansh for reflection ) at RTR and headed it until 2011, most recently as deputy editor-in-chief of RTR.

From 2011 to 2014 she was in charge of the “Markets and Quality” department at the SRG General Management in Bern . On August 1, 2014, she was appointed director of RTR as the successor to Mariano Tschuor. On 1 January 2018 she was appointed Deputy Director General of SRG and obtained by appearances in connection with the no-Billag initiative awareness

She is a board member of the Swiss Society for Communication and Media Studies , Vice President of the Museum Council of the Swiss National Museum and a member of the Federal Media Commission.
