At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , he started from the normal hill and came in ninth.

His most successful Four Hills Tournament in 1968/69 began with two seventh places in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. However, after he faltered in Innsbruck as 41st, he was able to reach seventh place again in Bischofshofen. He finished the tour in ninth place overall.

After a three-year break, he ended his career with the start of the Four Hills Tournament in 1972/73 . Divila was once again able to achieve good individual results and finished in 15th place in the overall ranking.

Already in 1966 Divila set a new hill record with 87.0 m on the Olympic hill in St. Moritz , which lasted five years until Tauno Käyhkö beat it by one meter in 1971 .
