Ladislav Falta (born January 30, 1936 in Opočno ) is a former Czechoslovak sport shooter .

successes

Ladislav Falta took part in the Olympic Games three times . At the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo , he finished ninth with the rapid-fire pistol with 587 points, and four years later he was tenth in Mexico City with the same number of points. In 1972 he scored 594 points in Munich , with which he won the silver medal behind Józef Zapędzki and before Wiktor Torzhin .

At the same time he achieved third place in the team competition with the large-caliber pistol at the 1966 World Championships in Wiesbaden . In 1970 he was in Phoenix with the rapid fire pistol in the individual runner-up, while he won the title with the team. He was also world champion with the large-caliber pistol in the team competition and also secured bronze with the standard pistol team. Falta was European champion three times in various individual disciplines.

After his active career, he was the national coach of the Czechoslovak squad and looked after them at three other Olympic Games.
