Ladislav Pluhař

Ladislav Pluhař (born June 18, 1865 in Žďár nad Sázavou , Moravia , † May 7, 1940 in Brno ) was an Austrian and, from 1918, Czechoslovak politician.

Life

Pluhař studied law at the University of Prague , where he received a doctorate in 1889. From 1897 he was a lawyer in Brno .

Pluhař dealt with national minority policy and was a member of the state parliament for the Czech district of Brno from 1908 to 1918. In this function he was also a state assessor and deputy to the governor from 1913 to 1918. From 1918 to 1920 he was a member of the National Assembly and chairman of the State Administrative Commission. In 1925, after the National Democratic Party in Moravia had weakened, he resigned from his political functions.

The electrification of Moravia is part of his life's work.
