The Laka ( Russian Лака ) is a left tributary of the Kuloi in the northeast of Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .

The Laka rises on the White Sea Kuloi Plateau . It flows mainly in an easterly direction through the Mesenski rajon and finally flows into the Kuloi, which flows north, 119 km above its mouth in the White Sea . The Laka has numerous narrow river loops .

The Laka has a length of 157 km. It drains an area of ​​1390 km². The river is fed by snowmelt as well as precipitation . The river is ice-covered between November and early May.
