The Lake River is a river in the center of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river arises in Woods Lake in the Great Western Tiers , about 70 kilometers south of Launceston , from the Upper Lake River and various small streams and rivulets. From there it flows north and flows into the Macquarie River about two kilometers southeast of the settlement of Kilrae .
