Lakis Iordanopoulos

Lakis Iordanopoulos ( Greek Λάκης Ιορδανόπουλος , real first name Ελευθέριος - Eleftherios ; * March 1953 in Thessaloniki , Greece ) is a Greek musician.

He attended the German-language high school in Thessaloniki and studied technical chemistry at the Technical University of Vienna from 1971 to 1983 . During his studies he was a foreigner advisor in the central committee of the Austrian Students' Union . After graduating, he became a professional musician and is still the band leader of the group "Lakis & Achwach".

Since 1991 freelancer in the ORF minority editorial team, Iordanopoulos became the presenter of the program Heimat, Fremdde Heimat on ORF 2 and 3sat in 1994 (together with Silvana Meixner ) as well as the eponymous program on Radio Wien - on radio, his specialty is world music . Lakis Iordanopoulos is married and has three children.

Lakis Iordanopoulos was awarded the Silver Merit of the State of Vienna in January 2005 .
