Lal Thanzaua Pudaite

Lal Thanzaua Pudaite ( 1938 - 2008 ) was an Indian diplomat .

Life

From 1962 to 1964 he taught at the Sielmat Christian High School in Manipur . He then worked for the Indian Audit and Accounts Service in 1964 . In 1966 he joined the Indian Foreign Service . From 1967 to 1970 he was the third secretary at the Indian Commission in Hong Kong . From 1970 to 1973 he was Deputy Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in New Delhi and from 1973 to 1977 first Secretary of State in Budapest . He then acted as Consul General in Zanzibar ( Tanzania ) until 1979 and then as Counselor in San Marino until 1981 . From 1981 to 1984 he was Consul General in Belgrade and the following year Chargé d' affaires in Kuwait . From 1985 to 1989 he was High Commissioner in Lilongwe ( Malawi ), then from 1989 to 1992 Ambassador to Seoul . Following this, he served as ambassador to Budapest until 1995; At the same time he was accredited as ambassador in Zagreb ( Croatia ) and Sarajevo ( Bosnia and Herzegovina ). From 1995 to 1996 he was ambassador to Rangoon ( Burma ). In 1996 he was retired . Nevertheless, he worked as a representative in Taipei from 1997 to 2000 .
