The Lale Buttress (English, Bulgarian Рид Лале Rid Lale ) is a 1850 m high and icy mountain on the north west side of Detroit Plateau on the Davis Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 7.3 km east of Mount Ader , 26.4 km southeast of Cape Andreas , 19.97 km southwest of Matov Peak and 24.06 km northwest of Darzalas Peak between secondary glaciers of the Wright Piedmont Glacier . Its steep south-west, north-west and north-east slopes are partially free of ice.
British scientists mapped it in 1978. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the town of Lale in southern Bulgaria .
