Geographical location

The scattered settlement Oberwinn is located between Neustadt / Vogtl. in the northwest and Grünbach in the east. The core of the settlement on "Grünbacher Straße" with the street name "Oberwinn" merges into the Grünbach settlement area in the east. Other buildings are located on "Oberen Winnweg". The houses of "Unterwinn" are on "Winnweg", which leads in the direction of Neustadt / Vogtl. runs. Between Unterwinn and Neustadt / Vogtl. is the source of the Treba . South of the "Grünbacher Straße", which is a watershed , are the "Disk Houses".

history

On the hill between Neustadt / Vogtl. and Grünbach a sheep farm was mentioned in 1791, which was called "Winn". The manor of the estate was Falkenstein . The Winn settlement, which has always been part of Neustadt / Vogtl. was calculated, had a population of 52 people in 1875. Winn belonged as part of Neustadt / Vogtl. until 1856 to the Electoral Saxon or later royal Saxon office of Plauen . In 1856 Winn became part of Neustadt / Vogtl. the court District Falkenstein and 1875 the Amtshauptmannschaft Auerbach affiliated.

Due to the second district reform in the GDR , the settlement now called Oberwinn came to be part of the Neustadt / Vogtl community. in 1952 to the district of Auerbach in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued in 1990 as the Saxon district of Auerbach and was merged into the Vogtland district in 1996.
