Geographical location and traffic

The Siebenhitz group of houses is located north of Neustadt / Vogtl. on federal highway 169 west of Falkenstein / Vogtl. The Treba flows through the village . Siebenhitz is located in the center of the Vogtlandkreis and in the Saxon part of the historical Vogtland . Geographically, the place is in the east of the Vogtland natural area . The "Falkenstein-Siebenhitz industrial area" is located in the village. To the east of Siebenhitz is the Falkenstein (Vogtl) train station , where the Herlasgrün – Oelsnitz railway line once separated from the Falkenstein – Muldenberg railway line . While the Vogtlandbahn runs on the latter over a railway curve east from Siebenhitz to Klingenthal and into the Czech Sokolov (Falkenau), the Falkenstein – Oelsnitz section of the Herlasgrün – Oelsnitz railway line that passes north of Siebenhitz was shut down and converted into a cycle path.

history

The group of houses built in the 18th century Siebenhitz north of the Waldhufendorf Neustadt / Vogtl. was first mentioned in 1758. The settlement consisting of two official houses was also called "Koberei", which distinguishes it from the settlement of the same name Siebenhitz near Schönau . The manor of Siebenhitz near Neustadt lay with the Ellefeld manor . Siebenhitz belonged as part of Neustadt / Vogtl. until 1856 to the Electoral Saxon or later royal Saxon office of Plauen . In 1856 Siebenhitz was affiliated to the Falkenstein court office and in 1875 to the Auerbach administration .

Through the second district reform in the GDR , Siebenhitz came as part of the Neustadt / Vogtl community. in 1952 to the district of Auerbach in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued in 1990 as the Saxon district of Auerbach and was merged into the Vogtland district in 1996.
