Lamanonia is a plant kind from the family of Cunoniaceae .

description

Lamanonia species are small trees. The sheets are assembled and palmate three feathered to five parts and with laterally projecting pairs applied stipules provided, occasionally they possess along the midrib A weak domatium .

The inflorescences are axillary grapes . The flowers open at the same time. The perianth consists of only a five to seven-leaf circle of leaves, the androeceum is polystemon, it consists of around twenty to sixty stamens . The disc is ring-shaped and attached to the ovary.

The fruits are capsules , the numerous seeds are winged.

The genus is native to Brazil , Argentina and Paraguay , where it occurs in temporarily dry forests and woodlands .
