Lambert Hofer (born August 29, 1907 in Vienna ; † December 10, 1997 ibid) was an Austrian entrepreneur who worked in costume rental and who also worked as a costume designer and costume supplier for the film, especially in the 1950s and 1960s .

Life

Hofer comes from the Viennese costume rental dynasty Lambert Hofer, which has been active since 1862 . After the end of the Second World War, he continued the cooperation with cinematography that his father Lambert Hofer had begun in the silent film era, but the intensification of the supply of national and international cinema productions with costumes was reserved for his son Lambert Hofer . Hofer's costumes could be examined in several comedies and a Heimatfilm in the mid-1950s as well as in several musical comedies with Peter Alexander in the early 1960s. Hofer died on December 10, 1997 in Vienna and was buried eight days later in the Grinzing cemetery.
