Lambert Mohr

Lambert Mohr (born June 15, 1930 in Plaidt ; †  November 29, 2009 ibid) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Attending elementary school from 1936 to 1944 was followed by an apprenticeship as a company electrician in Andernach and, until 1947, the Andernach vocational school. After the final exam, he completed an admission semester for engineering schools until 1948. Working in the parents' dairy business from 1947 to 1948 was followed by the establishment of a business in 1949. He was the managing partner and managing director of the companies of the Mohr Group in Plaidt, Koberner Quarzkieswerke GmbH & Co. KG in Kobern-Gondorf and LWG Lavawerk GmbH in Andernach.

Political party

Mohr had been a member of the CDU since 1956. He was chairman of the CDU community association Andernach-Land, later the association council Pellenz. He was deputy chairman of the Koblenz-Montabaur district association and a member of the state party committee.

MP

Mohr was elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag for the first time in the 1979 state elections and belonged to this four electoral terms (9th to 12th electoral period) from May 18, 1979 to May 19, 1996. In the 9th and 10th electoral term he was a member of the Committee for Economics and Transport, of which he was deputy chairman in the 10th electoral term. In the 9th electoral term he was also a member of the Environment Committee. Member of the Budget and Finance Committee in the 10th electoral term, of which he became chairman in the 11th electoral term. In the 12th electoral term he was chairman of the audit commission, deputy chairman of the budget and finance committee and member of the subcommittee “state building regulations”.

In 1989 he was a member of the 9th Federal Assembly .

Communal activities

Mohr was owned by the local council Andernach country , the council Plaidt and the district council Mayen and Mayen-Koblenz on. From 1970 to 1989 he was first district deputy of the Mayen-Koblenz district. From 1971 to 1974 he was first alderman in the local community of Plaidt.

Other engagement

Mohr was a member of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisenbank Pellenz from 1954 to 1957 and chairman from 1957 to 1967 . Afterwards he was chairman of the board of the Raiffeisenbank Pellenz until 1991, from 1969 to 1970 member of the supervisory board of the cooperative central bank Rhineland, member of the advisory board of the West German cooperative central bank and chairman of the advisory board of the Bims und Baustoff Union.
