Hymenophoral trama

Regular lamellar trama

As Hymenophoraltrama is in mycology the meat ( Trama ) well-differentiated Hymenophore , the carrier of the fruit layer ( hymenium ), respectively. The subhymenium is either part of the Hymenophoraltrama or is deliberately left out. In Porlingen, the hymenophoral trama is referred to as a dissepiment, in Röhrlingen as a tubular trama and in mushrooms as a lamellar trama . In particular, in the boletes the Röhrlingsartigen (Boletales) and the leaves fungi of the mushroom-like (Agaricales) and Täublingsartigen (Russulales) Hymenophoraltrama the determination is an important feature. Depending on the course of the fungal threads ( hyphae ) in a tube longitudinal section or lamellar cross section, a distinction is made between different types, which are often relevant as a generic or family characteristic:

  • regular: parallel hyphae (most common type)
  • sub-regular : hyphae running almost parallel to each other
  • irregular: irregularly intertwined hyphae
  • bilateral: hyphae running from the center outwards to the fruit layer in the direction of the lamellar edge (e.g.  death cap mushrooms )
  • inverse: hyphae running from the outside to the center in the direction of the lamellar edge (e.g.  mushrooms , scabies )
