geography

history
Lampertswalde was first mentioned in a document in 1221. The place name should come from the locator of the German settlement Lamprecht. The village emerged from a typical Slavic round village and a Franconian forest hoof village . The place suffered from the consequences of the Thirty Years War . The two districts only grew together around 1800.
The place is particularly important because of the former manor grounds with castle park and the village church, which was rebuilt in 1722 in baroque style. In 1948 the intact moated castle was demolished according to order 209 of the SMAD for the extraction of building material. The bridge to the island was preserved. The palm house, inspector house and gardener's house were restored after the fall of the Wall .
Lampertswalde was incorporated into Cavertitz on January 1st, 1998 .
