Lance Timothy Evers (born April 3, 1969 in Sarnia , Ontario ), also known as Lance Storm , is a professional Canadian wrestler . Evers has two daughters with his wife Tina.

Career

Independent area

Evers began his career in 1990 as Lance T and was initially in indipendent leagues such as Wrestling Association "R" and Smoky Mountain Wrestling . In the latter, he was able to win the "Beat the Champ" TV title . In 1996 Evers switched to Extreme Championship Wrestling . In addition to his activity as a wrestler, he also worked as a booker .

WWF / WWE

In 2000 he was employed by World Championship Wrestling and was in the following time one of the most successful wrestlers with the wins of United States Heavyweight Title , World Cruiserweight Title and Hardcore Championship . When the WCW was taken over by the World Wrestling Federation in March 2001 , Evers was then active there. In July he was able to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship here , but had to give it up again after a month. Then Evers formed a tag team with The Hurricane , which rivaled the Hardy Boyz for the WWF and WCW Tag Team Titles . In 2002 Evers formed the stable The Un-Americans together with Christian , Test and later William Regal .

Together with Christian he won the World Tag Team Championships in July . A week after they lost the title again, the team was disbanded. However, Evers and Regal continued to form a tag team and won the title twice. He was also allowed to hold the title once with Chief Morley . In 2004 he announced his retirement as an active wrestler and was henceforth a coach in the WWE Development League Ohio Valley Wrestling . At the beginning of 2005 he could be seen again briefly in the main shows of the WWE, but from May on he concentrated only on his wrestling school, the Storm Wrestling Academy , where unknown talents are promoted and trained.

End of career

Evers made a few appearances for independent leagues from time to time before he announced his final career end in 2007. The last time he made a name for himself was when he asked the WWE to accept his recently deceased friend Bam Bam Bigelow (who died January 19, 2007) into the Hall of Fame on the grounds that Eddie Guerrero was also accepted in the year of his death. However, this request was denied by the WWE.

Due to a wave of layoffs, he was released from the WWE on April 15, 2020.
