Career
Martin started his career in 1997 and was initially active for independent leagues. In October he made his debut in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). Here he later became a member of the Stables The Corporation . In 1999 Martin had an on-screen relationship with Stephanie McMahon that was destroyed by Triple H. Then he formed a tag team with Albert, which was disbanded after a rather unsuccessful period.
In 2001 Martin was allowed to win the WWF European Championship . 2001, at Wrestlemania X-Seven, he had to give up the title to Eddie Guerrero . That same year he became a member of the Alliance and won at SummerSlam , along with Booker T the WWF Tag Team Championship . In the Survivor Series , Martin lost a match against Edge , which was for the WCW United States Championship and WWF Intercontinental Championship .
In 2002 he formed the stable The Un-Americans , which also consisted of Lance Storm , Christian and William Regal . After a feud with Chris Jericho , Martin formed a team with Scott Steiner . They had chances for the Tag Team Title , which they could not use. Martin suffered an injury in July 2004 following a feud program with Stevie Richards and was released in November.
After his release, Martin was again employed in various independent leagues. In May 2006 he returned to WWF, which was now called WWE. From July he was active there in the ECW roster. In February 2007, he failed the WWE drug and drug test and was initially suspended and released shortly afterwards. He made his debut with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in August , but announced his retirement from active wrestling in December, but did not rule out a comeback in the future. In April 2008, Martin was arrested for several hours while driving in Florida for drunk driving and driving without a license. He was later released on bail.
Andrew Martin was found dead in his apartment in Tampa, Florida on March 13, 2009 at the age of 33, shortly before he was about to travel to the German Independent League FCW for a guest appearance. He died of an overdose of the pain reliever oxycodone .
