Patricia Anne Stratigias (born December 18, 1975 in Richmond Hill , Ontario , Canada ), better known as Trish Stratus , is a Canadian fitness model and wrestler who is currently under contract with the market leader World Wrestling Entertainment .

In the course of her career, she has won the WWE Women's Championship a total of seven times .

Private

Stratigias is the eldest daughter of John and Alice Stratigias. She is of both Greek and Polish descent. Her two sisters are named Christie and Melissa.

Wrestling career

Beginnings

Stratigias was known as a fitness model before signing a deal with the World Wrestling Federation . She made her beginnings in wrestling in the Canadian Promotion Apocalypse Wrestling Federation (AWF) and was trained there by the wrestler Ron Hutchinson.

World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2000)

At the beginning of her WWE career, Stratigias was the valet for Test and Albert. The three formed the T&A team . She later became active as a wrestler herself and was trained by Fit Finlay in the following years .

On November 18, 2001 Stratigias was allowed to win the WWE Women's Championship for the first time at the major WWE event Survivor Series in a so-called 6-pack challenge . On May 6, 2002 she was also able to win the now inactive WWE Hardcore Championship at short notice . She had to give up the hardcore title on the same day due to the 24/7 rule that applied at the time .

On January 27, 2003 Stratigias had a title match against WWE Women's Championess Victoria in the first WWE Women's Chicago Street Fight , but was not allowed to win this. That same year she became the WWE Diva of the Decade ( Diva of the Decade selected). In 2003, a WWE produced DVD entitled Trish Stratus - 100% Stratusfaction Guaranteed was released .

After another title win, Stratigias had to cede the WWE Women's title to Lita on December 6, 2004 .

Stratigias had not extended their contract with WWE, which expired in October 2006. Her last WWE match was on September 17, 2006 at the WWE Unforgiven event in her hometown of Toronto . There she was allowed to win the WWE Women's Championship title against Lita for the last time .

On December 22, 2008, Stratigias came back to Monday Night Raw at short notice , where she won a tag team match with John Cena against Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix .

On September 14, 2009 she had a guest appearance on RAW , where she was allowed to appear for one day according to the storyline as general director of the RAW roster .

In season 5, Stratigias coached the WWE show WWE Tough Enough . On April 6, 2013, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame .

After a break of several years, she returned to the WWE in 2018. On August 11, 2019, she lost a singles match against Charlotte Flair at WWE SummerSlam , with this match she ended her in-ring career.

Outside of wrestling

As a fitness model, Stratigias has been featured on several front pages of health and fitness magazines and has published her own calendar called Dream Team with Stacy Lynn. She was voted WWE Babe of the Year three times between 2001 and 2003 and was then replaced by Stacy Keibler in 2004.
Stratigias has also opened a yoga studio called Stratusphere as a business partner .

Stratigias married Ron Fiscio on September 30, 2006, whom she already knew from high school . She gave birth to a son on September 30, 2013.
