Tough Enough Season 3
Season 3 was won by John Randall Hennigan and Matt Cappotelli. Hennigan, who initially appeared under the character Johnny Nitro for two years, appeared on RAW as John Morrison until November 2010 and is the only Tough Enough winner to win a title in the WWE.
Matt Cappotelli first worked in the development league Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW for short). In 2005, however, a brain tumor was discovered, which is why he had to end his wrestling career. In 2007 the tumor was initially successfully removed, but it did not return to the ring. In July 2017, the brain tumor returned as stage IV glioblastoma , the most aggressive form of brain tumor. Matt Cappotelli passed away on June 29, 2018 at the age of only 38.
Melina Perez made it into the top 25 of this season, where she was eliminated. However, she met John Randall Hennigan behind the scenes and started a relationship with him. Because of this, she worked as Melina at RAW and SmackDown until August 2011. She was the first Tough Enough participant, entitled WWE Women's Championship won .

Tough Enough Season 4
The 4th season was no longer broadcast on MTV, but included in the show SmackDown and broadcast on United Paramount Network (UPN for short). The prize was a one million dollar contract that was to run for four years, with only the first year guaranteed.
The fourth season winner was Daniel Puder. Puder made his first and only appearance at the Pay Per View Royal Rumble in early 2005. He was then sent to the Ohio Valley Wrestling development league to develop his skills. However, in September 2005 he was released.
When SmackDown was released on November 4, 2004, a widely discussed incident occurred that presumably had an impact on Powder's further career. In an unsettled segment, Olympic wrestling winner and WWE superstar Kurt Angle challenged the participants to a Burpee challenge. Chris Nawrocki won this and was then allowed to compete against Kurt Angle in a wrestling competition, in the course of which he knocked him down and broke several ribs. Angle also challenged the other participants and Powder, even wrestlers, accepted them. Powder took Angle into a Kimura arm lever . To protect Angle's reputation, a referee awarded him a pin. At the 2005 Royal Rumble, wrestlers Chris Benoit , Bobby Holly and Eddie Guerrero performed several hard chops (so-called stiff shots or " shoots ") against Daniel Puder before they threw him out of the ring.

Tough Enough Season 5
In November 2010 it was announced that Tough Enough was returning. The 5th season consisted of twelve participants and started on April 4, 2011, one day after WrestleMania XXVII on USA Network . The season was number 1 on USA Network. There was therefore no connection to the first four seasons. The sixth season was produced in collaboration with Shed Media.
The castings for the 5th season took place in December and January. In this season, those in charge were very interested in participants who already had wrestling experience. With the new beginning, the casting show idea was more in the foreground, so that the participants had tasks to complete each week and then it was decided who had to leave the show.
Of all the participants, Ariane Andrew of all people made it to WWE, who was the first to leave her place in the first episode of the season. She later became part of the tag team The Funkadactyls and also appeared on Total Divas .

During the season, however, Hulk Hogan was dismissed without notice due to racist remarks. He was replaced by The Miz on Tough Enough . As in the previous season, the jury laid out the three worst wrestlers, the WWE Universe (the fans of the WWE) voted on their whereabouts by televoting .
The season winners were Joshua Bredl and Sara Lee , but neither of them could benefit from their victory. While they were awarded a $ 250,000 contract, they both failed to gain a foothold in wrestling and were fired within two years.
