Victoria Elizabeth Crawford (born June 30, 1986 in Ponte Vedra Beach , Florida , USA ), better known by her ring name Alicia Fox , is an American model and wrestler . She was under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment ( WWE ) for more than ten years and appeared in their wrestling shows. The greatest achievement of her wrestling career was receiving the WWE Divas Championship .

Alicia Fox previously worked as a model under her maiden name Victoria Crawford. John Laurinaitis discovered them in a catalog and referred them to the WWE.

Wrestling career

World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2006)

In 2006 Crawford signed a development contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). She was first used in the Aufbauliga Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) and made her debut on July 1, 2006 as a special guest referee in a match between Shelly Martínez and ODB. Crawford made her actual ring debut on September 6, 2006 as Tori . On October 20, she won the OVW Women's Championship , but this reign was not officially recognized, so she had to give the title to Beth Phoenix the next day .

After separating from WWE and OVW, Crawford moved to the new Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) development league , where it made its first appearance on September 25, 2007.

On June 13, 2008 she made her debut on SmackDown in a backstage segment with Vickie Guerrero , in which she appeared as the wedding planner for Vickie Guerrero and Edge . After a few matches at RAW , Crawford switched to the SmackDown roster on April 15, 2009 . At Smackdown she formed a tag team with Michelle McCool , but was sent back to RAW on June 29 of 2009.

At the pay-per-view Fatal 4-Way on June 20, 2010, Fox won the WWE Divas Championship , becoming the first African-American female wrestler to hold the title. At SummerSlam on August 15, Crawford gave the title to Melina .

On August 31, 2010, Crawford coached rookie diva Maxine on the third season of NXT . At the WWE Draft on April 26, 2011, she was again part of the SmackDown rooster. In 2012, she feuded against Natalya and Beth Phoenix . At the Royal Rumble 2012 she lost together with Kelly Kelly , Eve Torres and Tamina Snuka to Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Nikki and Brie Bella. At the end of 2012 and until mid-2013 it was only used sporadically at shows. In mid-2013 she took part in the tournament for the NXT Women's Championship . She eliminated Bayley in the first round , in the semifinals she lost to Paige . In September 2013 she allied herself with WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee and competed in several tag team matches against the rest of the Total Divas cast .

In March 2014, she formed the Foxana team with Aksana . She then feuded with Paige for the WWE Divas Championship , which resulted in a title match on June 1, 2014 at the WWE Payback event . However, she lost this match to Paige. In the June 9, 2014 issue of WWE Raw , she lost again to Paige and then split from Aksana .

Since 2015 she has been forming the Stable Team Bella together with sisters Nikki and Brie Bella . She mostly appeared as a partner to Brie Bella while Nikki Bella was injured and feuded with Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch ) and Team BAD ( Naomi , Tamina , Sasha Banks ). On March 14, 2016, Team Bella lost to Team BAD and the stable was disbanded. Then it came to the formation of two Stables , which the team is Total Divas , which includes Fox belonged, and a newly established team BAD The feud was in a 10-Diva tag team match in the preshow of Wrestlemania 32 enclosed.

In 2016 she was drafted back to WWE Raw and was part of the show 205 Live from the end of 2016 , where she had a Kayfabe relationship with Cedric Alexander . After deceiving him, however, she became the new valet for his competitor Noam Dar. The feud eventually ended with Alexander's victory in July, which also led to the breakup between Fox and Dar. The rest of 2017 she had several matches, which she mostly lost. She was originally supposed to take part in the first women's Royal Rumble in 2018, but was injured at the time and had to sit out. She was originally intended to partner with Goldust for the first season of Mixed Match Challenge , but was replaced by Mandy Rose due to her injury .

After this hiatus, she returned to WWE Raw on June 25, 2018. A short time later she was the first opponent of Ronda Rousey in their first individual match. This match on Raw was also the only main event in Crawford's wrestling career as Alicia Fox. A feud against Trish Stratus and Lita ensued . She then replaced Alexa Bliss as Jinder Mahal's partner in the second season of the Mixed Match Challenge . The two made it to the final, where they had to admit defeat Carmella and R-Truth . After that, she mainly teamed with Mickie James .

On January 27, 2019, she performed at the Royal Rumble , eliminated Maria Kanellis and was eliminated by Ruby Riott after six minutes . On February 10, 2019, Alicia Fox performed drunk at a live event . This incident led to the firing of WWE producer Arn Anderson , who let her into the ring despite her condition. The WWE offered Alicia Fox rehabilitation , but she declined and disappeared from the shows for a long time. In April 2019 she appeared on WrestleMania Axxess , then there was a match on Raw against Becky Lynch and one with Tamina against Billie Kay and Peyton Royce , both of whom she lost. During the SummerSlam weekend, she apparently got into a drunk fight with a fan and was then sent home by the WWE. Crawford then went into therapy to end her alcoholism. After her status with WWE was long unclear, her profile was tacitly moved to the Alumni section of the WWE website in October 2019, a sign that her contract with WWE had been terminated.

Presence outside of wrestling shows

Fox made several guest appearances on the reality television show Total Divas during the first two seasons, which aired from July 2013. On October 20, 2014, it was announced that Alicia Fox would be on the main cast of Total Divas from the second half of the third season .

Fox made her acting debut as a guest on two episodes of the Syfy series Dominion , which aired in July 2015.

She is featured in seven WWE video games. She made her in-game debut in WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 .

In July 2017 it was announced that Fox would be part of the WWE Fashion Dolls range from Mattel .
