Ruby Riott (born January 9, 1991 in Edwardsburg, Michigan ) is an American wrestler . She is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show Raw .

Wrestling career

Free Agent (2010-2016)

In 2010 she started training with Billy Roc at his School of Roc. Lovelace made her debut for Juggalo Championship Wrestling, defeating CJ Lane. Lovelace made her debut for Shimmer Women Athletes.

Ohio Valley Wrestling (2012-2013)

On May 16, 2012 she received a match at Ohio Valley Wrestling against Taeler Hendrix, but this she could not win. On September 1, at the OVW Saturday Night Special, Lovelace defeated Taeler Hendrix in a match without disqualification and won a future title match against her. Lovelace defeated Hendrix for the OVW Women's Championship on September 15, during a live event in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. After winning the title, Lovelace had victories over Jessie Belle Smoothers, Epiphany, Josette Bynum and Scarlett Bordeaux. On November 14th, she lost the title to Taryn Terrell.

Shine Wrestling (2012-2014)

At Shine Wrestling's Shine 2 event, she played as Heidi Lovelace in a triple threat match, but she couldn't win it. Over time, she lost a number of matches. During Shine 16 on January 24, 2014, her streak ended after she was confirmed as the newest member of the Daffney-led "All Star Squad" faction.

Chikara (2013-2016)

She made her debut for Chikara on May 18, 2013 when she and Saturyne competed in the 2013 World Grand Prix day. However, they were eliminated in the first round by Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin. On December 6, 2014, Lovelace defeated iPPV Missile Assault Ant in the final of a tournament in the Tomorrow Never Dies pre-show and won the Chikara Young Lions Cup. She defended her Young Lions Cup in 2015 several times and remained unbeaten for a year.

Also in 2015, Heidi took part in the "Challenge of the Immortals" tournament. She was brought to Dasher Hatfield's team. Her team led on points for much of the tournament before eventually forfeiting its points after it was revealed that Mr. Touchdown had cheated later in the tournament.

On Saturday, March 19, 2016, she got a title chance at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium, at the Chikara Grand Championship against wrestler Princess Kimber Lee. However, she could not win this match.

World Wonder Ring Stardom (2015)

On January 11, 2015, she made her debut in Japan for the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion and worked with Act Yasukawa. On February 8, Lovelace, Dragonita and Envy Heisei-gun unsuccessfully challenged Io Shirai, Mayu Iwatani and Takumi Iroha for the Artist of Stardom Championship.

World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2016)

On December 15, 2016, it was reported that she signed with WWE and started training at the WWE Performance Center . She made her in-ring debut on January 13, 2017 at an NXT house show and lost to Daria Berenato. Under the ring name Ruby Riot, she made her television debut on the March 22nd episode of NXT, attacking Nikki Cross and the rest of Sanity along with Tye Dillinger , No Way Jose and Roderick Strong . On May 3, 2017, she entered a tournament to determine the challenger for the NXT Women's Championship . However, she only got to the semi-finals.

On November 21, 2017, Riot, now known as Ruby Riott, made her debut alongside Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan on the episode of SmackDown Live by attacking both Becky Lynch and Naomi . Later that night, they interrupted a match between Charlotte Flair and Natalya and attacked both of them. The following week, the trio, now called The Riott Squad, made their ring debut, defeating Flair, Natalya and Naomi in a Six Womens Tag Team Match. On January 28, 2018, Riott competed in the women's first Royal Rumble Match at the Royal Rumble Event, eliminating Becky Lynch and Vickie Guerrero before being eliminated by Nia Jax . Riott challenged Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship , but she couldn't win the title. More feuds followed over the years, but they could hardly win them. In 2019, the group was disbanded after Morgan was drafted to SmackDown . After that, Riott was injured due to a shoulder injury.

Riott returned from the injury on February 3, 2020 and attacked Liv Morgan, resulting in a match between the two with Sarah Logan as the special guest referee. After WrestleMania 36, ​​Riott continued her feud with Morgan, where she lost to her twice in the episodes of Raw on April 20 and 27. In the July 13 episode of Raw, Riott allied with Bianca Belair .
