Brianna Monique Danielson (* 21st November 1983 in San Diego , California as Brianna Monique Garcia-Colace ) is an American model , actress and professional wrestler , better known by her ring name Brie Bella. Together with her sister Nikki Bella , she appeared on a tag team as The Bella Twins and once won the WWE Divas Championship . She has been taking a baby break since April 2016.

Life

Childhood and youth

Brie Bella was born 16 minutes after her twin sister Nikki. They grew up on a farm in Scottsdale , Arizona with their parents, Jon Garcia and Kathy Colace . They spent their school days together until the third grade, after which their mother had the two separated. They both graduated from Chapparal High School in 2002. They both played football for Scottsdale. They began studying at Grossmont College after graduating . However, both dropped out of their studies and initially worked as a waitress at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles while they were looking for a manager.

WWE

After an unsuccessful attempt at the WWE Diva Search , both received a contract with Florida Championship Wrestling in 2007 , which was then intended as a talent factory for the market leader World Wrestling Entertainment. Both were trained by Tom Prichard and later by Natalya Neidhart .

In 2008 they finally made the leap to market leader. You came to WWE Smackdown . Initially, Brie Bella was introduced and Nikki only ever appeared when Brie escaped under the ring. So the two changed roles and Nikki was allowed to win the fight for her sister. The two later formed a successful tag team. In 2009 there was a storyline break between the two. Brie lost to her sister in the first match against each other.

In 2009, both were drafted to WWE Raw and a little later to ECW and back, where they continued to compete as a tag team. Brie Bella was then the first of the two sisters to win the WWE Diva Championship. She defeated Eve Torres on April 4, 2011 at a Raw event in Bridgeport , Connecticut . She kept the title for 70 days and was then defeated by Kelly Kelly , who was declared the number one challenger in a fan voting.

Between 2012 and 2013, the two appeared on a few independent shows after briefly leaving WWE. They returned to WWE in 2013. Then the two stars of the reality TV series Total Divas . Then they feuded among themselves and continued to work as a tag team. Brie Bella then had fewer individual successes than her sister.

Brie announced a longer break from wrestling in April 2016. Her last appearance was winning a 10 diva tag team match on the WrestleMania 32 kick-off show when she forced Naomi to give up. She will remain with the WWE as an "ambassador" (a kind of spokeswoman). The background was pregnancy.

Private life

Bella Brie was in a relationship with Richie Kotzen (ex- Poison ). Since September 2013 she has been with wrestler Daniel Bryan , whom she married on April 11, 2014. Their daughter was born on May 9, 2017. Their son was born on August 1, 2020.
