Eve Torres Gracie (* 21st August 1984 as Eve Torres ) also known under its current ring name, Eve , is an American dancer , model and wrestler .

Career as a dancer and model

While at the University of Southern California (USC), Torres appeared in various commercials and music videos. Torres was co-captain of the USC Fly Girls dance group and was instrumental in their choreography . She danced in Long Beach for the Southern California Summer Pro League, the only summer league for NBA players. After graduating from college in industrial and systems engineering, she worked full-time as a dancer and model. After reaching the tryout final, Torres became a member of the Spirit Dance Team of the NBA team Los Angeles Clippers in the 2006/07 NBA season .

Wrestling career

2007 WWE Diva Search winner

In May 2007, Torres was introduced as a candidate for the casting show WWE Diva Search produced by World Wrestling Entertainment . She was selected as one of the 8 finalists by WWE officials from a group of 50 applicants. She was crowned WWE Diva Search winner in the October 29, 2007 issue of RAW in Philadelphia . She beat finalist Brooke Gilbertsen and officially became a WWE Diva. She then began training for her WWE debut at the Ohio Valley Wrestling build-up league.

SmackDown (2008-2009)

On February 1, 2008 Torres made her SmackDown debut in which she interviewed World Heavyweight Champion Batista . Then she took part in various "Diva Competitions" to determine the best Diva from SmackDown. Torres was born in Boston to a Latin family and grew up in Denver . Her younger brother Philip joined Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and won US $ 100,000. Torres attended the University of Southern California . In college, she was one of the founding members of the Omega Phi Beta student union on their campus and was vice president for a number of years.
