WWE (since 2004)

Ohio Valley Wrestling and The Spirit Squad (2004-2008)

In 2004 Nemeth signed a development contract with the WWE and was initially assigned to the OVW development league .

After he was able to finish his first title match there victoriously, he was accepted into the main shows of the WWE. In September 2005 he entered first on the side of Chavo Guerrero, Jr. on. Since Chavo Guerrero had accepted the gimmick of the golfer Kervin White , Nemeth first played his caddy . He played his first match in a tag team with Chavo Guerrero against Shelton Benjamin and Matt Striker. After Eddie Guerrero's death , Nemeth's collaboration with Chavo Guerrero ended. In the following years he only played dark matches and was finally sent back to the development promotion OVW, because the WWE had noticed visible deficiencies in his skills.

In the OVW, Nemeth received the gimmick from male cheerleaders Nicky . He became part of the Stables Spirit Squad . After a few matches, this group of 5 switched to RAW , where they made their TV debut on January 23, 2006. The squad became an integral part of the show, v. a. as part of the feud program between Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels . After the Spirit Squad were allowed to win the Tag Team title , a long-term feud program began against the newly formed D-Generation X and against Ric Flair , which should extend over half a year. The highlight was the match of the entire squad against the D-Generation X and Ric Flair at the end of November 2006. However, the Stable Spirit Squad was not allowed to win this feud program and was consequently dissolved. The former members were sent to the OVW again.

There Nemeth was initially part of the Frat Pack tag team . Together with his partner Mike Mondo, he switched to the newly founded Promotion FCW in September 2007 . In early 2008 he formed a tag team with Brad Allen , now under the ring name Nic Nemeth . In March they were able to win the local tag team title. In the last phase of his FCW time, Nemeth's gimmick was switched to that of The Natural .

In September 2008, Nemeth returned to the WWE. At RAW he competed under the current ring name Dolph Ziggler . However, in early October 2008, he was sentenced to a one-month ban after violating WWE's new health program.

In December 2008 he was allowed to win his first match against R-Truth . On April 15, 2009 he was moved to SmackDown as part of the WWE Draft . After he was allowed to defeat the reigning US champion MVP just two days later , he was awarded a title match against him, but he was not allowed to win it.

As part of a storyline , he then had an affair with the WWE diva Maria, before he was involved in the same way in the title story for the Intercontinental title by Rey Mysterio . However, Nemeth was not allowed to win two scheduled title matches.

Nemeth has now been involved in a nearly 12-month program around the WWE Intercontinental Championship . Eventually he was given Vickie Guerrero as a manager . On August 6, 2010 he played at SmackDown against the then reigning Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston and was allowed to win this match. On January 4, 2011, he had to give back the Intercontinental title to Kingston. In the fourth season of WWE NXT , Nemeth first went pro from Jacob Novak and later from Byron Saxton.

On February 14, 2011 Vickie Guerrero recognized in her capacity as interim general manager of SmackDown Edge its World Heavyweight Championship due to the use of the Spear against Nemeth. At the TV tapings for SmackDown a day later, Guerrero Nemeth presented the title. On the same evening he lost in a match against Edge and had to give up the title. A short time later, Nemeth was fired by Theodore Long because Vickie Guerrero had blamed him for an attack on the SmackDown GM.

However, he soon made his comeback with Guerrero on the RAW roster and won the WWE United States Championship from Kofi Kingston on June 19, 2011 at Capitol Punishment 2011 . At the major event WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2011 on December 18, 2011 , he lost the title to Zack Ryder .

However, Ziggler had to surrender the title to Del Rio again on June 16, 2013 at the PPV Payback in Chicago .

Feud against The Authority and WWE Intercontinental Champion (2014-2016)

Dolph Ziggler fought at Summerslam in Los Angeles against The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship on August 17, 2014 , defeated him and won the title. However, about a month later he lost the title to The Miz on Night of Champions , which he was able to win again a day later on RAW. Then ended their feud and Nemeth feuded from now on against Team Authority, led by Triple H . The feud's premature climax came when he had to risk his regained title against Luke Harper at RAW on November 17, 2014, a week before Hell in a Cell . Nemeth lost this match by pinfall and this meant losing the title again. At the Survivor Series , he competed in the Elimination Tag Team Match for Team John Cena and was ultimately the last man standing after he was able to pin Seth Rollins after Sting's intervention. A month later on December 14, 2014, Nemeth fought back against Luke Harper and secured the title again at the PPV TLC and is now four-time holder of the Intercontinental title. On January 5, 2015, he lost the title to Bad News Barrett at RAW. Later that evening, Ziggler was fired from the Kayfabe Authority . In the January 22, 2015 issue of SmackDown , Ziggler returned and qualified for the Royal Rumble Match by defeating Bad News Barrett . In the Royal Rumble Match itself, Ziggler entered the ring as number 30, but was quickly eliminated by Kane and Big Show . At the next WWE Pay-Per-View Fastlane , Ziggler lost a 6-man tag team match with Erick Rowan and Ryback against Big Show, Kane and Seth Rollins. At Wrestlemania 31 , Ziggler took part in the WWE Intercontinental Championship 7-Man Ladder Match, which Daniel Bryan won.

For the next two months, Nemeth had a feud program with the returned Sheamus , who attacked Nemeth after a match against Daniel Bryan at the RAW after Wrestlemania 31 . The two had a first match at WWE Extreme Rules , which Nemeth won, and a second match at WWE Payback , which Sheamus won. Nemeth took part in both the Elimination Chamber Match for the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE's Elimination Chamber 2015 , as well as the Money in the Bank Match at the Pay-Per-View of the same name. However, Ziggler could not win both matches. Over the summer, Nemeth was involved in a love storyline with Lana against Summer Rae and Rusev . This feud resulted in a match between Nemeth and Rusev at Summerslam , which ended with a double countout. Nemeth won the rematch of the two at Night of Champions on September 20th. The storyline was dropped when TMZ.com announced the real engagement of Rusev and Lana on October 11th. Afterward, Nemeth was put into a feud program with debuting Tyler Breeze . The two had a match at Survivor Series , which Breeze won. This was followed by a feud with Kevin Owens , in which both opponents repeatedly exchanged victories. This feud lasted until the beginning of 2016. Nemeth then took part in the Royal Rumble Match, in the pay-per-view of the same name, which took place on January 24, 2016, but was eliminated by the eventual winner of the fight Triple H. In the following weeks, Ziggler continued his feud with Kevin Owens until he lost to Fastlane in a match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. In the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania 32 , he resumed his feud against the Authority . This resulted in a match between Ziggler and Triple H and if Ziggler can win this, he should choose his Wrestlemania match. However, Ziggler lost and was ultimately put into the 7-man WWE Intercontinental Championship Match at Wrestlemania, which was won by Zack Ryder . At the RAW issue after Wrestlemania, Ziggler began a rivalry with Baron Corbin , which extended to WWE PPV Money in the Bank and was won by Corbin.

In July 2016, when the WWE Draft was reintroduced, Nemeth was drafted to SmackDown Live. He won a six-pack challenge in the July 26, 2016 issue of SmackDown Live by pinning AJ Styles . This guaranteed him a WWE World Championship match against the champion Dean Ambrose at Summerslam on August 21, 2016, which he lost. Ziggler then started a feud with Intercontinental Champion The Miz , which resulted in a WWE Intercontinental Championship Match at Backlash . The Miz won it because Maryse Ouellet sprayed Ziggler in the eyes with a hairspray. Ziggler insisted on a rematch at the next SmackDown Live PPV No Mercy . The Miz initially refused him, but when Ziggler put his career on the line, Miz finally accepted. Despite some interventions by Maryse and the Spirit Squad , Ziggler was able to win the match and the WWE Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy and thus saved his career.

He was attacked from behind by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at the beginning of the show. In the main match of the show, Ziggler won against Sami Zayn and was thus in the main match of Fastland . But in the end he couldn't win the match at Fastlane. Since then, Ziggler has been pausing for an unknown time.
