action

Ray Thompson works for the drug squad. He's a tough, relentless cop who stretches and breaks the rules as he sees fit. When he shoots a colleague's bulletproof vest during his last investigation so as not to endanger his camouflage, the internal investigator Lieutenant Julia Baker interferes. His boss Lt. Frank Corbin suspends him from duty. But suddenly a ransom note appears, which is addressed to Ray. A website shows a boy wearing an explosives vest and hiding somewhere in town. The kidnapper demands US $ 2,000,112.35, otherwise he will blow up the boy.

Let Ray handle the handover. This takes place on the sidelines of a wrestling event. However, the handover goes wrong. Ray shoots the kidnapper before he can press the detonator, but the timer continues. Ray teams up with Julia to save the boy. A scavenger hunt begins through the whole city until they finally find the boy in the police station. Ray can free him from the explosives vest at the last second.

Reviews

The film received little approval from the critics. Gavin Jasper from Den of Geek described the action as unspectacular and sometimes pointless. The trailer promised a connection with wrestling action in the style of the Jean-Claude Van Damme film Sudden Death , the plot of which takes place on the sidelines of an ice hockey game. But this only made up ten minutes in the film, it was even badly edited. The Actionfreunde blog praised Dolph Ziggler's acting efforts, but rated the film "as a boring thriller whose script makes various stupid decisions that have a devastating effect on the tension curve."
