Claude Foisy

Claude A. Foisy (* 1955 in Montreal , Québec , Canada ) is a Canadian composer .

Life

Claude Foisy studied classical music at the "Ecole de Musique Vincent d'Indy " before graduating with a bachelor's degree in jazz music from McGill University , and then worked as a pianist for Canadian musicians such as Veronique Beliveau , Manuel Tadros , Serge Mondor and Marie-Claire Seguin and working as a conductor in Canada and Europe. In addition to his tours from 1989 to 1994 through Europe and the Middle East , where he entertained UN, US and Canadian troops as musicians, he accompanied the Canadian circus Cirque du Soleil in 1992 as music director on their tour in Switzerland and California.

While Foisy was working on the shooting of the television film Zelda in Montreal in 1993 , he met the producer Kim Long , with whom he fell in love and moved to Hollywood with her in 1995. In the meantime, both are not only married and have two children together, Foisy was also able to gain a foothold in the film business through Long's contacts. Since then he has composed on the one hand for films such as 2002 - Durchgeknallt im All , Pontypool , Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead and Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings on the other hand for series such as Ghost Stories , First Wave - The Prophecy and 4400 - The Returners .
