action

By inheritance, Danny ends up with his friends in Hobb Springs, a former vacation spot in the West Virginia Hills. There he is supposed to take over the family hotel, which was once a mental hospital. Danny had previously worked on Wall Street, but now he is hoping for a new challenge by running the hotel after his nervous breakdown. His siblings Jackson and Sally also travel to Hobb Springs and introduce Danny to his previously unknown family. Soon the cannibals appear and Danny has to choose between his family and friends.

criticism

“Everything as usual: Screeching products of inbreeding hunt half-baked actors. In terms of content, the film does not tear up trees. The basically unknown actors struggle, but there isn't much to do anyway. [...] The film [can] reasonably entertain. […] At least [are] the nudity insoles with which 'Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort' […] can score. "

- Peter Osteried : Gamona

"As usual, fans of Splatter Movies should get their money's worth."

continuation

background

The shooting took place in Bulgaria from March 2014 . The film was produced by Regency Enterprises , Summit Entertainment and Constantin Film . 20th Century Fox took over distribution . In the United States, the film grossed around $ 1 million in DVD and Blu-ray sales.

Injunction
In October 2014, an injunction was filed in Ireland against the unauthorized use of a photograph of a real missing woman from County Wexford . The application was initially rejected, but re-examined a month later in November 2014. As a result, 20th Century Fox initially stopped distributing DVD and Blu-rays and had the film removed from all streaming platforms. Some time later, Fox re-released the film, but had the photo defaced.
