Land Rover Ma'an Assembly Plant

The Land Rover Aqaba Assembly Plant Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between the Land Rover brand and the Shahin Group founded in October 2000 . The company is located in the industrial area of ​​the city of Maʿan in the Kingdom of Jordan . On building the plant a total of 100 million was USD applied. Over 1000 people have been employed there since then. Around 5000 vehicles leave the factory buildings every year of production.

Work started in late 2004. The Defender and Discovery were assembled as the first products . The vehicle parts for the Defender are sourced from the English production plant in Solihull . The kits are delivered to the warehouse in the port in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone and then transported to the factory for assembly. This was later replaced by the LR3 , which itself was replaced by the newer LR4 in 2009 . The Discovery, on the other hand, is completely manufactured in the Jordanian plant. The LR2 has also been rolling off the assembly line here since 2008 .

The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are available as import models . The Range Rover Evoque has also been available since 2010 .

The plant itself is responsible for selling the vehicles. In Jordan, the vehicles are sold by sales partners Ole Jordan and Mahmoudia Motors . In the rest of the Middle East , sales are handled by the Land Rover Customer Relationship Center in Dubai .
