organization

The state parents' association of high schools in Bavaria is a registered association and acts as an umbrella organization for parents of high schools in Bavaria. In the 2011/2012 school year, 354 of the 402 grammar schools in Bavaria were members of the LEV. The LEV thus represents around 300,000 parents of schoolchildren at Bavarian grammar schools.

The 354 affiliated high schools are represented by the parents ' councils elected by the parents . These form 33 working groups and constitute the general assembly. These working groups in turn each send a representative for the state committee. The general assembly and the state committee elect a total board of 12 people, who appoints a chairman and a deputy from among its members.

membership

Members of the association can become:

  • the elected chairmen of the parents' council of all Bavarian high schools or their deputies or another member of the parents' council or a parent class spokesman appointed by the parents' council, but for the duration of the parental council's term of office at the longest.
  • All parents or other legal guardians whose children attend a high school in Bavaria that is not cooperatively affiliated with the association.
  • other natural or legal persons who want to promote the association's goals ideally or materially.
