Different windmill
The Anderter windmill in Hanover is a Dutch windmill that was built in the 19th century and is now a listed building . The location of the building converted for residential purposes at the address Zur Mühle 33 is the Kronsberg in today's Anderten district .
history
A forerunner of the Dutch windmill was a post mill further south . It was replaced in 1854 by the mill building that is preserved today. The building was erected at the time as a so-called Erdholländer on an octagonal floor plan far outside the built-up location and today represents an "important landmark " in the field-shaped environment.
The sports field of SV Croatia Hannover von 1990 eV is directly adjacent to the mill property, and a little further away there is a bicycle path across the site of the former Anderten shooting range .
In 1990 a new driving bridge was built over the lower southern expressway along the Zur Mühle road .
In 2006, the two freelancers, Kerstin and Jörg Allner, acquired the listed building and invested manpower and their own resources in the renovation of their new residence. They have had new blades installed on the windmill or integrated old millstones into the garden as decorations.
