The State Office for Social Services (LAsD SH) is an upper state authority of the State of Schleswig-Holstein . It emerged from the state pension offices in 1998 after restructuring . The authority is based in Neumünster , with locations in Heide , Kiel , Lübeck and Schleswig .

- Payment of benefits for victims of violence after the Victims Compensation Act
- Monitoring of companies and institutions that participate in the trade in pharmaceuticals ( pharmaceutical law )
- Monitoring the safety when placing medical devices on the market
- Carrying out examinations and issuing professional permits for certain medical professions and health professions
- Registration as a prostitute according to the Prostitute Protection Act (ProstSchG)
