The Lower Saxony State School Authority (NLSchB) is a state authority that is responsible for all schools and study seminars in Lower Saxony .

description

The Lower Saxony State School Authority was established by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education as a "State School Authority" on January 1, 2005 after the government districts Weser-Ems , Lüneburg , Hanover and Braunschweig were dissolved by the first state government under Prime Minister Christian Wulff .

On the basis of the resolution of the state government of June 15, 2010 (Nds. MBl. P. 622), the Lower Saxony state school authority was restructured in 2011. The number of departments was reduced, two staff units were set up and the role of the four regional departments was strengthened. Since January 1, 2011, the authority has been known as the "Lower Saxony State School Authority" (NLSchB).

The Lower Saxony state school authority is headed by an authority head based in Lüneburg . Regional departments are located in Braunschweig , Hanover , Lüneburg and Osnabrück . The layout of the regional departmental districts corresponds to the former government districts . The locations in the area are supported by branch offices that carry out the tasks of school supervision and school psychology on site.
