Altötting Regional Court (older order)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Altötting Regional Court was an older Bavarian regional court that existed from 1810 to 1879 and was based in Altötting in what is now the Altötting district . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

history

The district court of Neuötting , the city court of Burghausen and the courts of Wald an der Alz and Leonberg-Marktl were forerunners of the older district court . In 1810, the Altötting Regional Court was established in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria . From 1817 this belonged to the Lower Danube District (capital Passau). In the course of the renaming of the former districts of Bavaria in 1837 to the government districts that are still valid today, the area was changed between the Isar and Lower Danube districts and Upper and Lower Bavaria , which brought the Altöttinger area to Upper Bavaria.

The district office Altötting was formed in 1862 through the merger of the regional courts of the older order Altötting and Burghausen in administrative terms.
