The Landgrafenteich is a small artificial pond in Darmstadt , Hesse.
geography
The Landgrafenteich is located on the northeastern edge of Darmstadt, between Darmstadt-Kranichstein and Messel . The pond is approx. 25 m long and approx. 15 m wide. It is located in the "Silzwiesen" NSG .
The pond is fed by the so-called "Landgrave Fountain". An earth dam with a passage dams the water. The Landgrafenteich is drained via the Silz .

Various bird species live in the Landgrafenteich, including ducks , kites and wild geese . Numerous native fish species animate the pond.
