The open cultural landscape conservation area with 2898.81  hectares is located in the Paderborn district . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1999 by the district council with the landscape plan Paderborn - Bad Lippspringe . The LSG consists of 15 sub-areas, which are often subdivided by streets.

description

The LSG includes open land areas in the cities of Paderborn and Bad Lippspringe . The partial areas are near Bad Lippspringe, near Gesseln , near Mastbruch , south of Marienloh , north of Neuenbeken , near Benhausen , near Elsener Bahnhof, near Wewer and south of Dahl . It is grassland and arable land with orchards, hedges and field trees. Rows of trees and head trees, groups of trees, riparian trees and streams are also located in the LSG. The training area on the Lieth is located in LSG. There are numerous wind turbines in the LSG.

One of the goals of the LSG is to maintain the extensively used grassland and grassland areas. Stocks of farm oaks are to be preserved or replaced after felling. Agriculturally used areas are to be expanded. Arable land, especially areas of the Paderborn plateau at risk of erosion, are to be converted into grassland when the landscape plan comes into force. Alien hybrid poplars and conifers are to be replaced after the cut by local deciduous trees that are appropriate to the location.
