The Langeberge (English, Afrikaans : Langenberg ) are a mountain range in the province of Western Cape in South Africa and part of the Cape Fold Belt . The mountain range extends in a west-east direction over a length of 200 kilometers. The westernmost point of the ridge is northeast of Worcester in the area of Keeromsberg (2072 m, location:) , from where the mountain range stretches in a south-easterly direction via Montagu to Swellendam . Here it bends in the area of the Clock Peaks / Misty Point (1710 m, location:) to the east and ends at the breakthrough valley of the Gouritz River (location:) . In the north they are bounded by the semi-desert Kleine Karoo , in the south lie the Sonderend Mountains in the west and the wide areas of the Lower Langeberg , including the Overberg region.

Along the Langeberg Mountains lie the Marloth Nature Reserve , the Boosmansbos Wilderness Area and the Garcia State Forest . The highest mountain in the chain is the 1710 meter high Misty Point (also Clock Peaks ) located in the Marloth Nature Reserve north of Swellendam.

In the mountain range there are the following passes from west to east :

The hydrological conditions are determined by the river systems of the Breede River and the Gouritz River . Both rivers drain the mountain range from its north and south flanks into the Indian Ocean .
