Long bridges (desert)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Langenbrücken is a desert that is now in the area of the city of Babenhausen in the southern Hessian district of Darmstadt-Dieburg .

location

Langenbrücken was 128 m above sea level , 1 km southwest of Babenhausen, between Babenhausen and Sickenhofen . Today the street Langenbrücker Weg reminds of the location of Langenbrücken .

history

The village probably came into Hanau ownership through the marriage of Adelheid von Munzenberg , daughter of Ulrich I von Munzenberg , with Reinhard I von Hanau , which took place before 1245 (the exact year is not known). It was part of the official Babenhausen the rule and subsequently the county of Hanau . It also belonged to the Mark Babenhausen and the Altdorf court . It fell wildly during the agricultural crises at the beginning of the 15th century, around 1430. Its district went into that of Babenhausen.

The church originally belonged to Altdorf , later to Babenhausen. The Wambolt von Umstadt and von Wasen families owned property here.
